The transferable vested benefit or termination benefit pursuant to Art. 2 FLV is the sum to which an insured person is entitled on leaving a pension plan. The vested benefit consists of:
* Employer contributions
* Employee contributions
* Contributions
* Buy-in contributions, with interest
as of 31 December of the assessment year. In the case of pension funds which are* based on primacy of contributions in accordance with Art. 15 FLV this corresponds to the LOB old-age savings
* based on primacy of benefits in accordance with Art. 16 FLV this corresponds to the current value of all accrued benefits
* or in accordance with Art. 17 FLV the minimum amount on leaving the pension plan.
A pension plan must inform its insured members annually of their termination benefit under the regulations (Art. 24, para 1, FLV).Vested benefits also include amounts in vested benefits accounts and policies held with banks and insurance companies.
